As part of the Architectural Association School of Architecture-London, AA visiting School Jordan’s team was encouraged to observe natural formation as a precedent  for  macro  and  micro architectural interventions within  the desert ecology. THE VIEWING PLATFORM appears as a natural extension of the already existing environment.

Using generative computational systems, digital iterations were simulated that formalize natural processes.

‘Co-Evo’ is a viewing platform located at the top of Jebal Rum [the highest mountain in the desert of Wadi Rum]. The form was developed after excessive documentation and research on the geological processes that influenced the morphology of the site.

Analogue and digital methods were used in the form-finding processes, including experiments to generate forms from material hybrids in a bottom up manner.
